Warm air heating

Warm air heating systems heat a property by supplying warm air into the rooms through vents in either the ceiling, walls or floor. Status Heating can install, service and repair warm air heating systems and have over 45 years experience.

We now replace old Units with an Aquair and Boiler Package - You get the best of warm air with the safety and reliability of a modern condensing boiler!

What is Warm Air Heating?

Although most properties in the UK are heated using a boiler and radiators there are still many houses that use warm air central heating. Warm Air Units are similar to air conditioning units in the way that they blow air around ductwork and out through grilles or vents throughout the house.

The air is normally heated by way of a gas burner and is controlled by a room thermostat and a time switch.

Our Warm Air Heating Services

 Routine Services

It is imperative that all warm air units are serviced every year, even more so than a normal heating boiler. Because the air is blown around the system by a large fan unit, there is often a large build up of dust and debris throughout the unit. By cleaning the unit properly and by ensuring that the pressures are correct you are really able to see the difference in performance from before we service a unit to after. A service on a warm air unit will take around an hour.   If you are looking for a fan for warm air unit, just give Status Heating a call as we can advise further.

We can service your unit from just £102 including VAT.

 Repairs / Emergency Breakdowns

If your warm air unit stops working you will probably find that most companies will not want to work on it. If this is the case then give us a call! All of our engineers are fully qualified in warm air and we currently stock several thousand pounds worth of stock to ensure a fast fix.

We can attend to your broken warm air unit from just £92 including VAT (this includes the 1st hour on site)

If your warm air unit has reached the end of its life then we can offer you all of the advice and expertise that you require. We have a combined experience of over 120 years in warm air heating through our management staff.

We can offer you a completely free of charge survey and quotation for your replacement warm air unit. If you go ahead with a replacement unit from Status Heating, we can offer you interest free credit for 12 months (subject to terms and conditions)

If you need your unit replaced we now install an "Aquair Pack". This involves us installing a new Johnson & Starley Aquair water to air heat exchanger in place of your existing unit. However, instead of being heated by a gas burner within the unit itself, we use a standard combination boiler of your choice to provide the heat. This gives you the benefit of keeping your warm air, whilst also receiving the hot water benefits of a modern combination boiler. We offer Ariston, Vaillant or Worcester Bosch boilers as part of the pack.
